82-year old A makes his palm reading debut in Sapporo!

This story is about A, who enrolled in and graduated from my palm reading school several years ago at the age of 82.

Immediately after graduating, A rented a room in a mall in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture, and made his palm reading debut.
One day, I thought to myself,

“I wonder how A is doing,” and called him, several days after his debut.

I was worried about how he was doing, and had called to check in and see how his practice was doing.
I asked, “Hi A, how’s your fortune-telling going?” His response?

“I feel like I’m going to shut down!”

Said A: “I feel like I’m going to shut down!”

Hearing this, I thought to myself, Oh no, is he not getting any customers? Is he going to have to shut down his practice?

But the reality was the opposite.
“I’m so, so busy, it feels like my body is going to shut down!” There are customers lined up all day. I don’t even have time to eat—I’ve been doing the palm readings with a banana in hand!”

It seemed his practice was a great success, a state of happy chaos.
Man, that was good to hear.

Being older can be as an advantage as a fortune-teller

Being older can be a major advantage as a fortune-teller, as customers can get the sense that you’ve been practicing for decades— which I find quite amusing.

The moral of this story is, it’s never too late to start something new! I encourage you all to do everything you want to do, no matter how old you are!

I’d expect nothing less of my students. Come on now! The prime of your life is just ahead!

So no matter how old you get, go wild and live your life to the absolute fullest!
